AVOS relaunched Delicious with an improved design, simpler navigation and an important new feature to refresh and reposition in social bookmarking service.
Stacks, is the new feature of Delicious. Stack is a playlist for the web, but they are the collections of shareable links in reality.
Here’s how the stacks works: Select some links that are related to your links, collect them into a stack and watch what happen. You can customize your stack by adding a title, write description, tags, comment and choosing images for each link. Then publish the stack to share it with the world.
The New front page of site is designed for easier browsing. You can see two links narrating featured stacks and featured links. Featured stacks contain collections of large thumbnail with their titles and link counts. The new design is much similar to Squidoo, a service which allows you to create a center point of information on a specific topic such as “cool places to visit in Pakistan” or “web resources.”
Delicious was purchased by YouTube founders Steve Chen and Chad Hurley in April 2011 and was previously purchased by Yahoo in 2005.
