Adobe Systems aims to grow independently, the Chief Executive Officer Shantanu Narayen told in an interview on Monday with German newspaper Financial Times Deutschland.

Adobe’s shares were up in early Monday morning; however they come back down. Maybe some investors view Narayen’s statement as a move to response Microsoft to consider a valuable premium to any bid.

Steve Ballmer Microsoft CEO had recently met privately with Narayen at Adobe’s San Francisco offices, reported by The New York Times.

In the answer, Narayen told German Newspaper that Adobe frequently meet with all major companies to certify that its products run on all types of operating systems and hardware, including Windows.
