Microsoft has withdrawn the latest security update that has been revealed on Tuesday from Windows Update after customers reported a number of random Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).
Late on Friday, Microsoft finally confirmed the issue, and removed update KB2982791 from Windows Update.
As indicated on Microsoft’s support site, the security update had different issues and it could result in Windows not to boot in a few cases.
The KB2982791 (MS14-045) has a total of 3 known issue which includes the locking down of the Fonts directory of Microsoft Windows and incorrect rendering of Systems Fonts (%windir%\fonts\) on Windows 8, 8.1, 8.1 RT and Server 2012 RT.
