Sony micro-USB Drive for Smartphone and Tablets

There are various Android devices in the market which do not feature a detachable back cover, which also gives a sign that the device will not support microSD cards like the Nexus 5.  It means you will need to reach a correct decision carefully if 16GB storage is enough for you, if not you would’ve to choose the 32GB model.

Here is good news for those Android users who have the devices that do not have microSD support, or who are running on low space, Sony today introduced 2-in-1 functionality micro-USB Drive for the Smartphone and Tablets.

Sony‘s micro USB flash drive will connect to the Smartphones through the micro USB port at the bottom which is also used for charging.

Users who are running at least Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich can use the micro-USB flash drive and they’ve to download a special app to make use of the USB drive. It also features a full-sized USB 2.0 port in which users can easily transfer their content from their PCs to their smartphones or from Smartphone to their PCs without using a data cable.

A locking cap helps to protect the USB connectors from damage, dust particles and waste, and the devices’ metallic body is tough enough to tolerate everyday mobile use.

Sony’s micro-USB flash drive is available at affordable price unlike the i-Flashdrive which price is pretty high. The new USB flash drives will be available through Sony retail stores from January 2014 and available in 8 GB model is available in $19.99, 16GB at $29.99, 32GB for $62.99 and have 3 different cap colors.
